Insured FedEx Ground

Default for mail-in. We estimate zone from your ZIP, package weight from tape count (about 1.5 lb box plus 0.6 lb per VHS), and declared value at $50 per tape (capped). Declared-value charges follow a simple $0.80 per $100 after the first $100. You will get a real label when the job is booked.

Premium courier

Nearby ZIP prefixes 467 and 468: same-day courier band, typically $45 to $75. Everywhere else: overnight band by zone, typically $80 to $180 before weight. Choose this in the estimate when the tapes should not ride Ground.

Insurance

“Insured in transit” on marketing pages is a placeholder until Our Home Movies LLC binds a policy. We still declare value on carrier shipments and handle cassettes as unique objects. Do not ship the only copy of a tape without talking to us first.
